WWII vet leads parade for Steamboat Days

A Lake City man who in 1945 rode into Germany to help liberate concentration camps is taking an easier ride these days.
Gale Hill, 91, rode in a convertible through the Steamboat Days parade in Winona Sunday. He was the military parade grand marshal representing the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
It was a big honor, the overly humble World War II veteran said.
