Youngsters can experience the 'Power of Produce' at Thursday night market

A program to educate children about produce and shopping local returns to the Lake City Thursday Night Market by the Lake this summer.

This year, the Power of Produce Club is being sponsored by Lake City Rotary Club.

Each week children ages four to 12 do an activity at the welcome tent and then they are given a $2 token to spend at a farmers booth on fresh vegetables or fruits.

Parents, grandparents or guardians can sign their kids up for the program Thursdays at the market.
