Audit shows school district reserves to be 'reasonably healthy'

The news was mostly good when Bradley Carlton of CliftonLarsonAllen summarized the firm’s audit of Lake City Public Schools at the School Board meeting Oct. 19.

The district’s unassigned fund balance, which is considered a bellwether for the overall financial health of the district, grew from $960,262 in 2014 to $1,220,085 in 2015.
