Candidate forum announced ahead of city council primary
With eight candidates vying for three Lake City City Council seats and a primary election on Aug. 14 to narrow the field to six, Destination Lake City (DLC) has decided to hold a candidate forum at City Hall on Aug. 2.
“DLC was concerned that there wasn’t much information out there on the candidates and we wanted to make sure people were informed enough to vote on the primary on Aug. 14,” Megan Kramer of DLC said via email. “Since several of the candidates are new and not well known it would be in the public’s interest to conduct such an event.”
