City council to meet a week earlier in August

The Lake City City Council’s regular meeting for August will be on the first Monday of the month, Aug. 5, rather than the second Monday, which is more typical. The meeting is scheduled to begin at the usual time, 6 p.m.
The date change creates space for the primary election scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 13.
