Council action delayed on Hok-Si-La trail

The Lake City City Council removed an action item from its agenda Dec. 14 to award a bid for construction of a multi-use trail connecting the Hok-Si-La Park entrance and Central Point Road.

City Administrator Rob Keehn said city staff requested that the council table the issue until January due to higher-than-expected bids.

“The low bid was approximately $48,000 over engineer’s estimate, so we requested it be tabled in order to provide better detail regarding how we will pay for the overage,” he said.
