Council candidate filing ends June 2

Filing for three Lake City City Council seats and the office of mayor ends Tuesday, June 2.
Mayor Mark Nichols and City Council member Cindy McGrath have said they will seek second terms.
Jason DeVinny, who was appointed to the seat resigned by Mary Lou Waltmann in 2019, will seek a full term on the council, he said.
Council member Phil Gartner has decided not to run again.
As of Wednesday, May 27, the only filers were Nichols for mayor and DeVinny for city council.
