Detour removed

A detour of Highway 61 south of Red Wing was removed on Tuesday, July 28 and traffic can again drive north through the construction work zone, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
The detour went into effect earlier this month and only affected northbound traffic while the prime contractor, Rochester Sand and Gravel, replaced a culvert along Highway 61 between Wacouta Road and Sevastopol Road.
