Downtown sidewalks continue to take shape

The sidewalks in downtown Lake City are getting a little more colorful.

Gaps between main slabs on the walkway are being filled with brown concrete. And the areas between the walkway and the street are filling with a mosaic of tan, dark brown, and reddish brown pavers.

At the highway construction update meeting Tuesday, a listener asked how the usable life of the pavers compare with cement.
