Downtown work in its final stages

The publicly available estimate for when Section 2 of the Highway 61 reconstruction project will reopen to traffic got more specific at Tuesday’s project update meeting.
Traffic is expected to return to the stretch of Lakeshore Drive between Elm Street and Lyon Avenue around Aug. 17 or 18, according to Cindy Morgan, public engagement coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
