Early voting starts

There is plenty of campaigning to go on yet but people can begin voting by absentee ballot on Friday.
The expanded early voting rules in Minnesota mean residents can cast their votes now and not wait until Nov. 8.
People can vote in person at City Hall in Lake City or their county courthouse in Wabasha or Red Wing.
Voters also can have an absentee ballot sent to their home by following instructions on the Minnesota Secretary of State web site.
