Financial problems put family change class on hiatus

Divorce. A death in the family. Deployment. Incarceration. Disability. Losing a home to a flood or fire. Adoption.

For about three decades, there has been a program in Lake City offered to elementary school children in families that have experienced these and other profound changes. About 12 years ago, the program now known as Kit Kat (Kids in Transition, Kids Are Terrific) expanded to include after-school meetings for parents.
