Goodhue board splits over sheriff salary

The Goodhue County Board set the salary for Sheriff Marty Kelly at $136,718.40 annually at the Tuesday, Jan. 22, meeting.
The board had some disagreement over what Kelly should be paid because, previously, the county attorney and the sheriff received the same salary. On Jan. 8, the board set County Attorney Steve O’Keefe’s salary at $130,832.
