Goodhue County ditch 1 repairs to proceed
The Goodhue County Board met on March 24 to hold a hearing for the Ditch 1 repairment. Chris Otterness of Houston Engineering Inc. reported his findings and the benefits of the project were discussed.
Goodhue County Ditch 1 -- the county’s only ditch -- includes a 2.2 mile open channel and five branches (A through E) of public drain tile that total 2.4 miles in length. Ditch 1 is located in south Kenyon Township.
Otterness reported that the Ditch 1 is in disrepair and in need of maintenance.
