Governor appoints ambulance director to chair state board

Lake City Ambulance Director Sara Rybarczyk is the new chair of the state Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (EMSRB).

Last year Minnesota Governor Tim Walz appointed Rybarczyk to fill a vacancy on the board, which has a number of duties related to emergency medical services in the state, including regulating, examining, and certifying ambulance services. Now the governer has appointed her to chair the board effective Aug. 11, an Aug. 11 press release announced.

She replaces JB Guiton. Her term expires on Jan. 5, 2026.
