Hiring process irks city council members
In their first meeting of the year, some Lake City City Council members found themselves at odds with a staffing request from Police Chief Cory Kubista.
Full-time administrative assistant Kathy Holst’s retirement left a vacancy in her role as terminal agency coordinator for the police department.
Kubista proposed combining Holst’s duties with those of the city’s emergency operations coordinator (EOC), a part-time position, and fill it with the city’s current EOC, John Yorde.
