The City of Lake City will work through the next nine months to make improvements to the operation of its ambulance service.
The changes could include an expansion of the ambulance service staff to accommodate transfer calls.
City Administrator Mark Sievert got the green light to go ahead with a plan to implement changes recommended in a 40-page rural ambulance assessment carried out by the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board.
The study was conducted in June and its findings were presented to the City Council in October.
