Lake City establishes TIF district for factory expansions
The City Council on Monday night voted to create a new tax increment financing (TIF) district that will help with expansion of the Hearth and Home Technologies facility.
Hearth and Home has announced expansion of its facility that will lead to creation of 37 new jobs locally (see related story).
The new TIF district also would provide support for Pepin Manufacturing which is expanding its facility and also possibly for Engineering Laboratory Design which is considering expansion.
