Lake City voters follow Trump down ballot

Lake City voters joined those around the nation in voting for Donald Trump as the next President of the United States and, with some tight margins, voted for Republican candidates down the ballot.

Trump received 1,432 votes to 1,153 in Lake City.

Jason Lewis, who was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, got 1,241 votes in Lake City, two more than DFLer Angie Craig’s 1,239.

Mike Goggin unseated State Sen. Matt Schmit in the Senate District 21 in the Minnesota Legislature.
