A Lake City company is the largest recipient of the first round of Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) grants for small businesses meant to improve air quality locally and statewide.
Last year Valley Craft Industries applied for and received $100,000 in grants toward a $150,000 project to convert a second line to powder coating from liquid paint. The new line came online April 20. The company had already converted another line to powder in 2008.
