More detailed plans break school board deadlock

The continuation Tuesday, Aug. 17, to the previous night’s marathon Lake City School Board meeting was brief, with the board voting to recommend masking to begin the school year and to give the superintendent authority to make health and safety policy changes until they can be reviewed by the school board.

The motion passed 5-1. Michael Ohlhaber voted against.

Before the vote, Supt. Erick Enger advised the board to recommend rather than require masks for students and staff.
