New guidance leads some city facilities to reopen to the public

The Lake City Public Library welcomed patrons inside Feb. 1 for the first time in months.

Library Administrator Patti Bross said it was a quiet first day, but she thinks more people will begin coming in as word spreads that the library is open again.

The City of Lake City closed the library, along with the public safety building and city hall, to the public late last year in response to an executive order from the governor intended to slow the spread of COVID-19.
