Officer honored for ‘Hat Trick’ of DUI arrests

A Lake City Police Officer has received an award for DUI enforcement.

Officer Michael Pfeilsticker made three impaired driving arrests in a single shift on Oct. 5.

On Dec. 16, Scott McConkey, a law enforcement liaison with the Minnesota Department of Traffic Safety, came to the Lake City Public Safety Building to present Pfeilsticker with a “DUI Hat Trick” award. The award is a hockey puck with a hat trick emblem.

“It’s not a race. It’s not a competition,” McConkey said. “But when we look at DWI enforcement, every arrest matters.”
