School board candidate filing period is Aug. 2-16
Lake City Public Schools has announced the filing period for candidates running for school board seats in the Nov. 8 election. Candidates can file in the district office at Lincoln High School between Aug. 2 and 5 p.m. on Aug. 16.
The filing fee is $2.
Candidates must be an eligible voter in the district and must be 21 years of age or older upon assuming office.
There are three four-year seats on the November ballot and one two-year seat. Candidates must select whether they are seeking a four- or two-year term at filing time.
