School board hires consultant for superintendent search

The Lake City School Board will contract with the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to assist in its search for a new superintendent to replace Supt. Erick Enger, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.

The board voted unanimously to accept the proposal during its regular meeting on Dec. 19 at a cost of about $9,900.

In doing so, they declined a proposal of $2,390 plus mileage from another party.

Board Member Michelle Larson said she tried to contact references for the lower bid without success.
