Sentence to Serve costs rise in Goodhue County

Goodhue County commissioners voted 4-1 on May 16 to renew its two-year contract with Sentence to Serve despite a 6 percent cost increase each of the next two years.
Captain Brian Coleman, Goodhue County jail administrator, told commissioners there is a substantial increase, just over $37,000, in what it will cost the county to use the program for the next two-year contract.
