Sheriff's deputies pose as armed assailants in Wabasha County training exercise

County staff members attending a routine meeting last week, were attacked by armed assailants. But not to worry – it was only a training session orchestrated by the Wabasha County Sheriff’s Department.

County Attorney Karrie Kelly, who was present for this training, told the board about it during the staff update segment of the regular meeting of the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners on Sept. 1. Commissioner Rich Hall was absent. Kelly and County Administrator Michael Plante were present.
