Single car crash leads to arrest

The driver of a car that struck a guardrail north of Lake City on Jan. 1 was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

According to the state patrol, the Ford Focus was southbound on Highway 61 at around 5 p.m. that day when it left the road and struck a guard rail.

The driver, a 30-year-old male resident of Lake City according to the state patrol, was treated at Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City for non-life-threatening injuries.
