Sinkhole repaired at Lyon and Franklin

The City of Lake City has repaired a storm sewer that was causing a sinkhole near the intersection of Lyon Avenue and Franklin Street in downtown Lake City.

“The bottom of a large manhole was deteriorated and washing away sediment at the edge of the street and into the boulevard creating a sinkhole,” Lake City Public Works Director Scott Jensen said. “Everything is back in working order and we will get a blacktop patch done when we can schedule some other blacktop work in town.”
