Smith: Ohuta Beach construction going well

Lake City Planning and Community Development Director Megan Smith’s update to the city council on the construction progress at Ohuta Beach was almost all positive.

“A tremendous amount of work has been done” since the May groundbreaking, she said.

“The bulk of the utility work is done,” she said, “which means all the underground work. There’s a new water and sewer line running out to the point.”

That line will run beneath the new access road to the point that hugs the inner harbor.
