Some voters chose none of the above
Rather than vote for candidates appearing on the ballot, several Lake City voters wrote in their preferred candidates for some offices in the Nov. 5. None of the write-in vote totals were sufficient to affect the results of any races locally. The Graphic published the winners and preliminary vote totals in the Nov. 14 issue.
Some write-in votes were for actual people who may be eligible to hold that office. A few were for people who already hold that office. Others appear to be jokes.
