Source of loud noises a mystery

Several loud booming noises audible in and around Lake City Sunday evening triggered several reports to law enforcement, but the source of the noises remained a mystery as of Tuesday, Sept. 14.
A representative of the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office said they received reports from the areas of Goodhue County Road 5 at Florence Township, County Road 5 at Territorial Road, and County Road 5 at Oak Ridge Avenue Way.
