Traffic switches to new bridge south of Red Wing

Motorists traveling on Highway 61 south of Red Wing were scheduled to begin traveling on the new bridge over the CP Rail tracks on Oct. 15, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists should be alert to pavement changes on Highway 61 at the start of the project at both ends and also at each end of the new bridge. The final paving layer will not be placed until early November, so motorists will experience a small bump at these sites until the final paving is completed. Signs will alert motorists to the bumps.
