Two open houses scheduled on proposed Bluff View expansion

Lake City Public Schools has scheduled two meetings to provide information about the district’s request to borrow $12 million.

The money would fund an expansion of Bluff View Elementary School that would allow for expanded pre-kindergarten offerings, among other things.

The first meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. The second is Monday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. Both meetings are at Bluff View Elementary School.

Voters will decide the issue in a special election on Nov. 7. The lone polling place will be Lincoln High School.
