Wabasha County Board: 5 percent levy hike, tops, in 2017

As they work their way toward setting a final budget for 2017, the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously, at their June 21 meeting, that they will not commit to more than a 5 percent levy increase over 2016.
All commissioners were present, along with County Administrator Michael Plante and County Attorney Karrie Kelly. Finance Director Deb Koenig was also present for input.  This meeting was held at 4:30 p.m. to accommodate the Board of Appeals which met at 5:30 p.m. the same day.
