Wabasha County Board approves half-cent sales tax, elected official salaries
The Wabasha County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a half-cent sales tax to fund transportation projects at their Nov. 24 meeting.
All commissioners were present for this meeting, along with County Administrator Michael Plante and County Attorney Karrie Kelly.
During a brief discussion session, several board members explained their thoughts on this proposal. At a public hearing held during the previous meeting, a number of citizens were present to give their opinions, with the majority of them not in favor of it.
