Wabasha County records second COVID-19 death

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Dec. 9 reported the second confirmed death of a Wabasha County resident due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

The death occurred December 5 in a Wabasha County resident in their 80s, according to a news release.

“We are saddened to report that the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) confirmed a second death in our county, and send our sympathy to the family and friends of the patient,” Tammy Fiedler, Director of Public Health said.
