WIC benefits go beyond providing healthy foods

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) is a food supplement and nutrition education program for pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children to age five. While a woman on WIC during her entire pregnancy could receive up to $625 in groceries and a child, one to five years of age, could receive up to $700 in groceries per year, WIC offers many other benefits in addition to providing healthy foods.
