School is back in session and the first report card is out on the Lake City Public Schools. Our children and grandchildren are not meeting standards in math (43.7%), reading (44.9%) or science (29.9%)! Our graduation rate has dropped to 88.9%. Check out the dismal data at https://rc.education.mn.gov. Before we start the “blame game”, let’s agree we can continue to point fingers, but doing so will never increase student performance.
