Boys hand Dover-Eyota its first loss of season

The best half of basketball of the season to date propelled the Lake City boys to a key 73-60 non-conference win over Dover-Eyota last Monday night at Lincoln High School as the Tigers handed the Eagles their first loss.

Gavyn Lorenson had six early points as Lake City raced out to a 13-5 lead after five minutes to prompt a Dover-Eyota timeout. Lorenson then continued his hot start with a pair of three-pointers and a dunk as part of 10 straight points that put the Tigers in front 23-9 midway through the first half.
