Gifting and regifting

Dad once gave Mom a wrapped bottle of ketchup for Christmas. He was a practical guy and had run out of ideas on what to gift Mom, who was 84 years old. It would have been worse if he had wrapped up ketchup packets collected from a restaurant. The following year he gifted her a box of light bulbs!
