I am writing on behalf of those four light bulbs that are seldom used on some cars and motorcycles. We call them signal lights, flashers, or just blinkers. They have been around for a long time as Florence Lawrence, an actress and inventor, recognizing how dangerous roads could be, created the first turn signal and brake signal in 1914. She did not patent her inventions so received little credit and no compensation for them.
