Green Step program aims to improve sustainability, quality of life

In April 2019 Lake City joined the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) GreenStep Cities program. The idea to create a sustainable cities program was taken up by the 2008 Minnesota Legislature, which directed the MPCA to recommend actions cities could accomplish voluntarily to achieve sustainability and quality-of-life goals.
