How long has it been since you’ve tasted home made applesauce?

I’d forgotten just how good it tasted. A gift from a friend reminded me.

That brought back memories of when we were kids. One of the yearly rituals was snitching apples from the neighbors’ trees. The neighborhood kids would get together in the evening when the apples were starting to ripen. Sometimes they were a little too green and we’d end up with a stomach ache.
