Letter: Ample free parking, even after highway project
To the editor:
The reconstruction of Trunk Highway 61 (TH61) scheduled for 2020 will bring many changes that directly benefit residents all across our city.
The new engineer-endorsed highway reconstruction will create improvements to pedestrian safety, noticeable traffic calming, opportunistic upgrades to aging subsurface infrastructure, future bike trail connectivity, and a long-overdue aesthetic investment in the road that divides most residents from the downtown and Lake Pepin.
