Letter: Beware supposed benefits of government funded redevelopment

To the editor:
I retired to Lake City in 2010. During my working career I’ve lived and worked in other cities and states and have seen the mixed outcome of changes to a city. For part of my career I worked for the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) and as a result I have seen the good, the bad, and the stupid when it came to all kinds of road projects.
