Letter: Commencement was bursting with community support

I have been to a number of commencement ceremonies but the best ever was Lincoln High School 2026. It was short, sincere and bursting with community support. And it was Lake City’s milestone 150th high school commencement.

I know that because Becky Houghton, Lincoln High School teacher (and historian of Lake City Schools) drew our attention to that in a flyer distributed with the commencement program. The flyer offered historic photos and a comparison of the Class of 1876 with the Class of 2026. It was amazing. Thank you Becky!
