Letter: Congress must vote down TPP
To the editor:
Soon Congress will vote on whether to accept or reject membership in an international trade agreement known as the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP). For a number of reasons, this trade deal should not be approved.
First, the TPP was developed in secret by representatives of powerful international corporations without any input from the American public or the U.S. Congress. This violates the principles of democracy and is unacceptable.
