Letter: Parade motorcycle stunts are dangerous

On a Tour de Pepin I was thinking of Bill Carls as I pedaled my bike up to Mary Huselid at The Eagles Nest in Wabasha. I asked a young woman about the triskelion tattoo on her arm. “Yes,” she replied, “my parents are from the Isle of Man.” The TT on the Isle is a major enterprise. The best motorcyclists from the world are auditioned, thinned, and trained on the course. The course traverses through cities and country, and is closed during the event. Riders are spaced out for safety, yet there have been injuries and deaths as they travel at up to 200 mph.
