Letter: Part time resident a full-time inspiration
I’d like to share the story of my nephew, Matt Salatino, who has a special connection to Lake City. Since he was born, Matthew has spent weeks here every year, making Lake City feel like a second home.
Matthew was diagnosed with diabetes at a young age. Rather than letting the diagnosis define him, he chose to take control of his health through exercise and running. That decision has led him to an incredible accomplishment—this year marks his 12th Chicago Marathon.
